FCC Week 2026 official poster

FCC Week 2026, the twelfth edition of the Future Circular Collider Conference, will take place from 8 to 12 June 2026 in Helsinki, Finland, hosted by the University of Helsinki. The event marks a major milestone for the Future Circular Collider initiative, as it will be the first collaboration meeting following the publication of the FCC Feasibility Study report.

Taking place at a pivotal moment for European and global particle physics, FCC Week 2026 is aligned with the final phase of the 2025–2026 update of the European Strategy for Particle Physics. The conference will provide a comprehensive review of the FCC study’s achievements to date while opening discussions on the transition toward the next project phase.

Over five days, the conference will bring together international experts in particle physics, accelerator science, engineering, technology development, and socio-economic studies, reinforcing the FCC’s role as a truly global research endeavour coordinated by CERN.

Advancing Design, Collaboration, and Impact

The programme will feature plenary sessions and parallel meetings covering the full breadth of FCC activities, including:

  • the physics and experimental programme,

  • accelerator and technology R&D,

  • civil engineering and infrastructure design,

  • territorial and environmental considerations, and

  • socio-economic impacts and industrial engagement.

FCC Week 2026 will also serve as a platform to strengthen international collaboration and dialogue with stakeholders, reflecting the FCC’s long-term vision as a research infrastructure with scientific, technological, and societal impact well beyond particle physics.

A Strong Regional and International Partnership

The 2026 edition is organised in collaboration with the University of Helsinki and the Helsinki Institute of Physics (HIP), alongside a broad network of partner institutions from Northern and Baltic Europe, including universities and research organisations from Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, and Sweden. This regional partnership highlights the growing engagement of the Nordic-Baltic scientific community in shaping the future of high-energy physics.
