Synopsis
Building on the course “Innovation Management I – Technological Competence Leveraging”, this course deals with the question on how to plan and manage a technology transfer/commercialization project. In this course, participants get an introduction to business modelling and business model validation, the development of go-to-market strategies, and intellectual property rights management.

Rationale
This course introduces students to state-of-the-art methods and instruments needed to exploit business opportunities to technologies of various readiness levels. Besides theoretical inputs on business planning and modelling, students will work on case studies to deepen their understanding of the methods discussed. After completing this course, students should be able to design a viable business model and develop commercialization strategies for technological outcomes of basic research projects.
