Synopsis |
This course deals with the fuzzy front-end of Innovation Management: Students are provided with a methodological framework to systematically identify and evaluate potential use cases and application fields for technologies related to superconductivity and cryogenics. Besides creativity and social search techniques, the topics of technology analysis, customer discovery, market and competitor analysis as well as PESTEL analysis are covered.

Rationale |
This course introduces students to the Technological Competence Leveraging method. In addition to a theoretical introduction, participants are given the opportunity to apply their newly acquired methodological skills and work to some case studies (“problem-based learning”). After completing this course, students should be able to systematically search for and evaluate new business opportunities to technologies of any technology readiness level.
